Amélie Peace (b.1997, Cannes, France) is based in London and currently finishing Fine Art BA at City and Guilds of London Arts School. Has taken part in multiple shows as well as having organised and curated a group show: RAW in 2019.

‘I use the figure and complex human behaviour to guide me in creating my own gestural language. The repeated rendering of hands in the work symbolises connection: touch; holding, grabbing, pushing, leaning, as well as the importance I hold in the act of making. Hands are signifiers of emotion, an important part in my cast of figures, like actors on a stage. Together, distorted, they question different types of relationships through their psychophysical connections, to portray and decipher complex human behaviour and the power dynamics that rule us.’
